Come and find out more about upcoming elections in Northern Ireland. Each party will explain their manifesto directly to the Deaf community.
The BDA (NI) in partnership with John Carberry is arranging for a special evening on Tuesday 21st February from 7pm at the Ulster Television Studios to inform the Deaf community about the political elections due to take place on 2nd March here in Northern Ireland.
The evening will give the Deaf community an opportunity to get more information from and about the main political parties and gain insight into their manifestos. There will also be a question and answer session at the end with all the political representatives.
Another special guest for part of the evening will be Ken Reid, UTV’s Political Editor, who will be present for a short while at the beginning of the event before he is required to film elsewhere.
Majella McAteer, Community Development Manager for BDA (NI) is excited about this event and believes “this is a great opportunity for Deaf people to get involved in the electoral process and to ensure their voice is heard when it comes to our local assembly and political representatives.”
BSL / ISL interpreters provided for this event.
