The congress will mark the end of our spectacular year-long celebration programme. Our events have been celebratory in style as opposed to having a political slant and our congress has been designed to reflect this.

The congress will begin in style, with an opening ceremony on Wednesday evening, followed by a drinks reception.

The congress programme has two different strands; Empowerment workshops and lifestyle activities.

Empowerment workshops will take place in the morning, where the congress participants are be able to gain more in-depth information about current issues that affect Deaf individuals and wider issues that affect the Deaf community in the UK.

The afternoon ‘lifestyle’ strand provides an opportunity for congress participants to explore various activities such as sport, art and wellbeing. The activities will be fun and allow participants to learn new skills by attending one of the exciting taster sessions.

More fun is on the cards with Grand Bingo on the Thursday evening and South West Deaf Association will be leading an event on Friday evening.

We will have one keynote speaker per day (Thursday-Saturday) before each of the empowerment workshops.

Please do keep checking the programme for any updates and latest information.
