The BDA has funding from the Big Lottery Fund for one full-time post for Access & Inclusion (Advocacy) Officer for up to three years. This will be based in London (serving the East London area). The project aims to provide advocacy for Deaf people. This will be achieved by providing information sessions and individual advocacy. The post holder will be responsible for a team of advocates – recruiting, providing training (either directly or by commissioning a trainer) and supervising. Successful candidates will be supported with training and supervision.
This project will be part of the Community Development team that covers the UK, the Director is Damian Barry and the Senior Community Development Manager is Paul Redfern who will manage the project.
Salary scale: £24,000
