Want to work in the BDA’s Community Development team?
The BDA has funding from the Big Lottery Fund for two full-time posts for Access & Inclusion (Advocacy) Officers for three years.
One will be based in London (serving the East London area). The other will be in Derby (serving the Midlands region).
The project aims to provide advocacy for Deaf people. This will be achieved by providing information sessions and individual advocacy. The post holder will be responsible for a team of advocates – recruiting, providing training (either directly or by commissioning a trainer) and supervising. Successful candidates will be supported with training and supervision.
This project will be part of the Community Development team that covers the UK, the Director is Damian Barry and the Senior Community Development Manager is Paul Redfern who will manage the project.
Salary scale: £24,000
