Full-time Deaf Roots & Pride Manager - £35,000

The British Deaf Association  is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly organised manager for developing an UK –wide  ‘Deaf Roots & Pride’ team. The project aims to provide support for deaf children and young people in transitions by providing mentors at critical periods in their lives.

The post-holder will be responsible for managing two current funded projects –Northern Ireland and Wales and for developing three new projects, South West England, Cumbria and Northern England. 

This project will be part of the Community Development team that covers the UK, the Director is Damian Barry and the Senior Community Development Manager is Paul Redfern who will oversee the development of all the projects.  

Successful candidates will have an excellent working knowledge of the Deaf Community and culture. Candidates should have experience of managing projects, budgets and reporting back to funding bodies.

The post will be based in Derby and will cover the whole of the UK.
