Annual Review 2014

The unique identity of the BRITISH DEAF ASSOCIATION (BDA) is based on its status as the only registered national charity to be run by Deaf people for Deaf people.

Since 1890 the BDA has worked to promote a wider understanding of the Deaf community through the projects it provides and particularly its encouragement of the use of British Sign Language.

Although great strides have been made in improving many aspects of life for Deaf people, there is still work to be done.

We hope this review of 2013-14 will show clearly that after nearly 125 years, the BDA is still at the leading edge of the Deaf movement.
